This iconic commercial building is located at the junction of Margaret Street and Great Titchfield Street in London, comprising six floors and covering 21,000 square feet
The building’s windows had existing lead-based paint, which required careful handling to ensure compliance with safety standards. Special controls were put in place to guarantee effective work methods, proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and appropriate welfare measures for the workers, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
For the external decorations, the windows were treated using Rust-Oleum Combi Colour, providing long-lasting protection and a high-quality finish for the exterior.
Inside, Dulux Trade products were used throughout the project to create a cohesive and durable finish. Dulux Vinyl Matt was applied to all walls and ceilings, offering a smooth, non-reflective finish ideal for general areas. Dulux Diamond Matt was specifically chosen for the WCs, where its robust properties help maintain a clean and fresh appearance in high-moisture environments. For all joinery, Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood was applied, delivering a smooth, satin finish with quick drying times to minimize downtime.
In the basement, a more durable solution was needed for the flooring. Johnstones Trade Quick Dry Polyurethane Flortred was used, a floor coating ideal for light-to-medium traffic areas, providing a tough, long-lasting finish that can withstand the demands of this specific environment.
This combination of high-performance coatings ensures both aesthetic appeal and lasting durability throughout the building.
