Interior Finishes:

  • Johnstone’s Trade Covaplus was used for the majority of the walls and ceilings, providing a durable, smooth matt finish that suits both high-traffic and feature areas.
  • For the woodwork, Acrylic Eggshell was chosen, offering a sleek, durable finish that is easy to clean and maintain.
  • In certain feature areas, Little Greene Intelligent Matt and Intelligent Eggshell were applied. These eco-friendly, high-performance paints are designed to deliver excellent coverage and breathability, making them ideal for spaces with specific aesthetic or environmental requirements.
  • For the gilding elements in the Great Hall, an opulent touch of 23.5ct gold was applied, adding a luxurious and striking detail to the main events area.
  • The slurried walls and quattro vaulted areas in the basement were finished with Rose of Jericho Casein Bound Limewash, providing a beautiful and breathable finish that enhances the historic charm of these areas.

Exterior Finishes:

  • For the exterior masonry, Little Greene Masonry Paint was used, offering excellent weather resistance and a lasting, elegant finish.
  • Toms Oil Eggshell was applied to additional woodwork outside, providing a smooth, durable finish ideal for external conditions.
  • The addition of Polyvine Bright Gold Paint gave a rich, radiant gold detail to key exterior elements, creating a stunning, imposing look.

This combination of high-performance paints and finishes, including eco-friendly options and luxury gilding, helped transform the building into a sophisticated and timeless space.
